• Research Activities
2003-2011. Intense study, research and innovation worldwide in the Methodology of Biofeedback and Biofeedback Therapy (see above “Publications” and below “Conferences as a speaker”). 

2009. Experimentations for the study of the psychological approach of and how to handle with geriatric patients, aged 80 years or over (fourth age), at the following Elderly, Nursing and Rest Homes in the city and the province of Latina (Italy): Villa Rosa, Villa Elvira, Villa Franca, Villa delle Palme, Villa dei Pini, Villa Cesarina e Villa Alba.

2004. Presented a project to the Ethics Committee of the Hospital S.Maria Goretti in Latina to start to experiment, in the Intensive Care Unit, for the awakening of people in permanent vegetative state, using Peripheral Biofeedback and the Trichromatic Theory of Equilibrium of Systems.

1994. For research in animal and comparative psychology (see document in Publications1997), attendance at the Laboratory Institute of Psychobiology and Psychopharmacology of the C.N.R. at Rome.

1993-1994. Following on the award of a scholarship, collaboration with the Chair of Clinical Psychophysiology (Chair of Prof. Vezio Ruggeri) of the Roman "La Sapienza" University, Faculty of Psychology. The tasks performed during the collaboration dealed with experimental research in the psychophysiological field using the biofeedback instruments.

Clinical / psychotherapeutic activities

2001-2010. Committed to the Gledhill Community for drug addicts at Lanuvio (Rome), as psychotherapist and training of addicted patients in metacognition, assertiveness and social skills.

2009. Presented to the Municipality of the Island Ventotene (LT) a "Proposal for a training-integrated psycho-educational intervention and psychological-psychotherapeutic support to the people of Ventotene ".
2001-2008. Committed at the Gledhill Community at Albano Laziale (Rome) - specialized in psychiatric rehabilitation and treatment of Borderline personality disorder and Dual Diagnosis - and work of psychotherapy, biofeedback therapist and training of patients in metacognition, assertiveness, social skills, relaxation and meditation.

2008 At Borgo Bainsizza (LT) begins a series of seminars to raise awareness of adolescents to some youth issues (drug addiction, sexuality, etc.).

2007. Organizes in Latina role-playing groups to train participants in presence, cognitive distance and assertiveness.

2006. Presented at the Public Professional Institute for Agriculture and Environment in Latina the project "Living and studying together. An intervention to prevention and treatment of adolescent distress in the context of the boarding school."

2006. Committed in Latina, at Elderly Homes, the psychological support of the residents and the staff, of the organization and Multidimensional Assessment and the preparation, implementation and continuous updating of personalized plans for geriatric patient care.

2004. Organizes at Latina learning groups for metaphysical principles related to the practice of meditation.

2000. Starts as a cognitive-behavioural psychotherapist (individual, couple or group) and biofeedback therapist in the city of Rome, Latina, Sezze (LT), Velletri (RM) and Lariano (RM).

1997. Starts working in Rome, Latina and Sezze (LT) as a psychologist and, as a result of an ancient, strong and continued passion for study and research in psychophysiology (the branch of psychology that is concerned with the relationship between mind and body), starts teaching advanced techniques of relaxation and group meditation, with the instrumental support (electronic and computer) of the biofeedback. At the same time organizes several group courses for management of anxiety and panic attacks.
